DBS successfully completes majority stake in Syscon GmbH
Digital Building Solutions GmbH (DBS) has successfully completed its majority shareholding in Syscon GmbH by acquiring further shares. With this integration, Syscon is setting the course for the future. In a second step, the remaining shares will be acquired by DBS at the end of 2024.
Siegmar Egenolf will remain with the company as Managing Director until then. At the same time, we are pleased that Mr. Mario Stiffel has also been appointed to the management board to help shape the long-term future of the company. As an authorised signatory and long-time employee, he knows the company as well as the customers and the industry. Since July 2023, the company has been managed by a dual leadership. Thus, Syscon will continue to exist as an independent company and be integrated as a subsidiary in the future.
Expertise from the very beginning
As an IT company for building products, Syscon GmbH celebrates its 33rd anniversary this year. Founded in 1990 in Sömmerda, Thuringia, the company has since grown from four employees in the beginning to 25 today. Early on, Syscon specialised in the construction industry. Today, the company is a reliable and strong partner for manufacturers of building products. Special emphasis is placed on digital software solutions for window construction. Competent employees develop customised software solutions and drive digitalization in window construction.
Both companies look back on many years of cooperation. The digital toolbox of DBS was largely developed in close cooperation with Syscon. Values such as durability, trust and courage play decisive roles.
Growing together
With the majority shareholding, Syscon has now paved the way for the future: "As Managing Director and shareholder, the future of Syscon is close to my heart. I am glad that we have found a long-term strategic partner in DBS, with whom we share the same values. I am also pleased that Mr Stiffel will help shape the future of the company as part of the management team," explains Siegmar Egenolf.

This will not change, because we will integrate Syscon according to the proven principle of 'as much as necessary and as little as possible'. It is particularly important to us that we preserve the culture of the company, but at the same time use synergies in the future so that we can always offer our customers the best software solution in a targeted manner."
