Training at DBS
For 2027 we are offering a Dual Study Program in Business Informatics (m/f/d).
A dual study program at DBS offers numerous advantages: You benefit from hands-on training and close collaboration with industry professionals. As part of a globally operating company group, you have exciting opportunities for international collaboration and can even experience a stay abroad.
We attach great importance tn teamwork, personal development and a positive corporate culture. Modern work tools and ergonomic workstations promote your health and productivity. Our trainees can also attend voluntary training courses at the internal campus and participate in workshops regularly.
Dual Study Program in Business Informatics
Training Content:
The dual study program in Business Informatics combines training as an IT Specialist for Application Development (m/f/d) with a dual Bachelor of Arts degree at the Westphalian University of Applied Sciences. What makes this model particularly interesting is that practical learning in the company and theoretical learning at the university complement each other from the very beginning.
The dual program is divided into three phases. In the first phase, you focus on your vocational training; after 18 months, you will have completed your qualification as an IT Specialist. After that, you will no longer attend vocational school but will concentrate on your studies. After the 6th semester, you will take the diploma examination to become a Certified Business IT Specialist (VWA), and after the 7th semester, you will complete your Bachelor's degree.
The tuition fees are covered by us.

- Duration: 3.5 years
- Requirements: Advanced technical college entrance qualification or general university entrance qualification
- University: Westphalian University of Applied Sciences
- Study Days: Fridays (8:30 a.m.–2:45 p.m.) and Saturdays (8:30 a.m.–12:45 p.m.)

We are happy to have been awarded as DigitalPilot in the district of Warendorf in 2023. Our solution DBS WinDo Flow was able to convince the independent and expert jury in the category "Digitally supported sustainability". Because by using a digital fingerprint, we can actively support the circular economy in window construction.
