Window visualization in new dimensions

The selection of new windows and doors has never been so easy.

“How would different colored windows look like?” “How does a sliding door work on this wall?”

Questions that you or your customers certainly ask, but which are difficult to answer, if the own imagination is missing. Thanks to new, digital possibilities, these questions can be answered visually. Use the solutions of Augmented and Virtual Reality to make profound decisions. You and your customers will benefit from it.

Features at a glance

Virtual Reality (VR)

  • Experience your future windows and doors in the virtual showroom – both from the inside and the outside.
  • Find the right solution for your building project more easily.
  • Experience the products from your desired perspective and in the desired colour.
  • With the virtual showroom you can make profound and well informed decisions.

Augmented Reality (AR)

  • Use AR to visualize the selected 3D model in your environment by using your smartphone or tablet.
  • Adjust the selected window elements to your facade or masonry and change the desired parameters in no time at all: templates, colors, dimensions, etc.
  • Benefit from user-defined templates from the planning software DBS WinDo Planning.

The solution in detail

Virtual Reality (VR)

Anyone who has ever worn VR glasses can confirm, that the perception in the 3-dimensional space exceeds that of a screen display by far. Using VR glasses, you can experience future building objects and individual window or door elements in the 3-dimensional virtual showroom.

In addition, VR solutions can iterate faster, because these technologies are linked to BIM and provide real-time feedback, when the design changes. This is a huge benefit  compared to traditional full models and offline renderings. Those offline models are complicated and time-consuming to update whenever design changes have to be made. VR is an additional tool in the toolbox of designers and contractors to ensure, that design intentions are met. The degree of customization can be determined by you individually.

Augmented Reality (AR)

In contrast to virtual reality, augmented reality enables the visualization in the own house. This allows you to display window and door elements on your own facade or on the desired building object. Windows and door elements can be easily changed and removed in a few simple steps by using your smartphone or tablet.

Service providers, technicians, designers, architects, project managers, the entire construction team as well as the building owner can benefit from AR solutions. They all receive sufficient data to ensure both accuracy and speed. AR also gives you the ability to navigate through each phase of the project. Therefore you can detect errors before they occur. This saves time and money.

Augmented Reality is considered one of the best technological advances in the construction industry, as it improves all processes during the project.
